Junbo Ge

Academician, doctoral tutor, and cardiologist. In 1990, Dr. Ge was jointly trained by the Medical College of Mainz University in Germany. In 1993, he received his doctorate in medicine. In 2000, he joined the Jiu San Society. In 2011, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. 

He is currently the Dean of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of Fudan University, the Director of the Shanghai Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, the Director of the Department of Cardiology of Zhongshan Hospital, the Central Standing Committee of the Jiu San Society, the Deputy Chairman of the Shanghai Committee of the Jiu San Society, and the Chairman of the Board of Cardiovascular Diseases of the Chinese Medical Association. Dr. Ge is also Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology, International Consultant of the American College of Cardiology and Distinguished Professor of the Yangtze River Reward Program. He won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of National Technology Invention Award, and the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award. Dr. Ge has won the National May 1st Labor Medal and "China Good Doctor". In September 2017, he was elected Shanghai's person of the year
